It's always such an honor and a treat to capture the special moments in my good friends' lives, so when Grace Barnett and Justin Hughes asked me to take their engagement photos, I was absolutely thrilled! Grace and I knew each other through mutual friends since we both went to the University of South Alabama for our undergrad years, but it wasn't until she started dating Justin, who became my friend during my two year stint in med school, that we really became close through game nights, Mardi Gras balls, and other fun events!
When Justin matched into a General Surgery residency at East Tennessee State University, they both moved to Johnson City, Tennessee. I'm so thankful that we have still been able to keep in touch and that our friendship has grown even more, even though we live about 9 hours apart! In fact, witnessing their beautiful proposal at Miramar Beach, Florida this past May was such a memorable, joyous moment! For their engagement session, they traveled all the way back to Mobile, Alabama, the city where their love story (and our friendship) began. My heart is so full from their gorgeous session and I'm so excited to share these photos! Keep scrolling to see a special surprise and some goofy outtakes!

Grace even had a little surprise in store: she asked me to be one of her bridesmaids, and my answer was, of course, "YES!" I couldn't be more honored and overjoyed to be a part of Grace and Justin's special day! May 15, 2021 can't come soon enough!
