My high school art teacher once gifted me a sketchbook with a quote by Picasso written in it: “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” This quote has resonated with me throughout my life, and I have continued to use art as a way to see the world through new eyes. I have explored various forms of art: painting, crafting, cake-decorating, calligraphy, and, of course, photography.

 

Photography has always stood out to me as a wonderful way to express and evoke emotions. I absolutely love when a photograph speaks to my heart and makes me feel something. My goal with photography is to capture both the excitement of special moments and the beauty in the details of everyday life.

On October 10, 2016, I officially launched my photography business and said goodbye to the path of becoming a medical professional that was laid out for me since high school. Starting a new journey—my own journey—was equal parts scary and thrilling. Luckily I have a wonderful support system: a husband who constantly encourages me and rejoices with me over accomplishments, understanding parents who continue to show their unconditional love, amazing friends who are my biggest cheerleaders, and beautiful inside-and-out clients who make my job so extremely rewarding and fulfilling.

 

People often ask me about my ultimate goals with my photography career, and I respond with the same answer: I’m already living my dream! Every day I wake up happy and excited about working, learning, and creating.
