Sandra Huynh and Eli Bilbo exchanged their beautiful self-written wedding vows on November 14, 2020 at the Biloxi Civic Center in Biloxi, Mississippi. I’m beyond overjoyed that my best friend married the love of her life and so incredibly honored to stand by her side! Planning a wedding in the midst of 2020 hasn’t been easy, but Sandra and Eli, being the extremely thoughtful people that they are, kept everyone’s health and safety in mind with creative solutions, while also celebrating their 13th dating anniversary with an epic party! Their safety measures included plenty of hand sanitizing stations, masks and mini clip-on sanitizers in the guest party favor bags, cardboard cut-outs to minimize touching during photos and to include one of her bridesmaids who was not able to travel from Chicago, and a live stream of their entire wedding day thanks to Sandra's brother Chris.
Sandra and Eli also incorporated their eco-conscious lifestyles into their wedding by using bamboo serveware and repurposing wine bottles and yogurt bottles for table decor. They even had potted succulents for guests to take home, accompanied with the pun "Covid Succs" to add some humor into their day! We all enjoyed a fun and safe night of celebration and dancing with fiber optic wands! One of the most memorable parts of their night was when Sandra and Eli took a moment to dance with each group of guests to "Boogie Wonderland," reminiscent of the style of The Office scene when Darryl Philbin leaves the show! They embraced all the setbacks that 2020 threw their way with such grace and flexibility, and the end result was a memorable, beautiful, and emotionally rewarding day!
