One of the best feelings in the world is to see your friends genuinely happy, and I can't help but smile at the pure glowing happiness on my best friend Rachel Howorth's face in these engagement photos with her fiancé Josh Macias. Ever since we met our junior year in college and found out how much we had in common, Rachel and I have been close friends; she was actually a bridesmaid in my wedding and I'm overjoyed to also stand by her side as her Matron of Honor! Rachel is the most thoughtful, reliable, and sweet person you'll ever meet, and her awesome fiancé Josh complements her perfectly! Rachel and Josh met in their hometown Montgomery, Alabama at Ixtapa (the best Mexican restaurant) and they have been together for almost nine years. One of their favorite things to do together is cruising to new places; in fact, Josh popped the question on their cruise in April—how perfect!
Now that Rachel and Josh have lived in Huntsville, Alabama for a couple of years, we decided to capture this special time in their lives here! It just so happened to be the first day of fall, so of course they had to pull out their richer toned clothing to reflect the changing season! We started off our session downtown, where we wandered around and snapped photos as we explored their beautiful city. Take a look at their stunning photos!

Look how Rachel's beautiful yellow diamond engagement ring pops against the colorful piñata and spotted leaf! Of course we had to incorporate a bit of lively fiesta colors into their engagement session!
Next, we headed to Hays Nature Preserve, where the gorgeous foliage was on full display for the first day of fall—I just love how the reds, oranges, and yellows bring the perfect amount of autumnal spirit to these stunning photos! We finished our dreamy session as Rachel and Josh snuggled up in the woods!
